Flame hawk - Will it Eat Cleaners & Peppermint Shrimp

Would it eat such large shrimp? I really don't care if it ate my peppermints because I'm not so fond of them but I do kinda like my cleaners. They are huge and I can't imagine them getting eaten. But I've read they will eat small shrimp.

edit: the more I'm thinking, I guess as it would get to it's adult size, I suppose it's likely. I'm thinking of the ones I see that are only 2-3" long. I suppose I should cross it off of my list.

I never had a problem, I think as long as the shrimp is in first. I had a flame hawk many years ago with a cleaner shrimp.

I have been thinking of pulling the trigger on a flame hawk for awhile, my cleaners and blood are all pretty large, I do worry about my small tailspot and YWG though. Maybe I 'll get up the nerve one of these days. :blown:

Its not a guarantee. They are predators and will fit what they can in their mouth. I think you will be fine

So would it potentially eat a small fish? A high fin red banded goby? He hangs out under the rock most generally but I'd be pretty upset if he got eaten.

No guarantees, but I had the cleaners first and then added the Flame Hawk. Going on 2 years and never had a problem yet (knock on wood).
