Hey Everyone,

I hope you can help me out with this one. I just added 3 small flame anthias to my current system but cannot seem to get one to eat. Just added yesterday. I know they eat mysis and brine as well as zooplankton. But is there anything else that you found to really entice them. If as usual i just need a little patience for the one to eat it is what it is however any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Adam:fish1:

I'm in the same boat with you, but with Dispars. I'm gonna try Cyclopleeze. That was recommended to me. Look it up. Good Luck!

My Dispars are going mad for Cyclopleeze, the dry variety. Going to try frozen also. Added some small dry pellots and frozen mysis while feeding the cyclopeeze and they have just started talking both of those.
Cant help with the ignitus but its worth a go.

Good luck

IME anything small, I mean tiny! Meaty foods, like minced raw shrimp and scallop from the grocery store. Mince it while it is still frozen...otherwise the pieces will be to big. Eventually they will eat larger foods, but when first imported, only tiny pieces work.

My ignitus eat everything: brine, mysis, Cyclopeeze, Spectrum pellets, spirulina flake, etc. I never really had a problem getting them to eat.

I usually soak my food in garlic, vitamins, Selcon, and Seachem Entice, so that may help.

I also have the pellets in an automatic feeder, which goes off once a day. I think that this regularity also helps them.

Started the dispars out with the RN gel food on day 1 (gets chopped up by the Vortech). Switched to NLS small pellets on day 2 and they haven't looked back ever since.

All is well. As mentioned above they eat everything now just took a day or two as usual.
The best item for me so far has been Zooplankton.

Thanks,

Adam
