Flame tip anemone got eaten!!!

Well i keep all three of my anemone together in a one little area of my tank. I think my new big anemone ate my Flametip. It missing and i have a piece of screen blocking in the anemone so they don't move and sting my other coral. Came home today and only seen 2 anemone. I looked all over the tank just to see if it got out by any chance, but it was no where to be found.

Most nights, when the lights go off, my GBTA anemones will completely closeup to the point that you can't even see a single tentacle and they'll actually look like a piece of rock. Could this of happened??

Or maybe it crawled into a hole? Mine used to do that from time to time, especially when they were ready to split. I'd think they were goners, and then a week later there would be two or three 'nems instead of one!

You mentioned the other anemones - are they the same species or different? I've never seen/heard of a cannibalistic BTA. Mine used to crawl all over each other.

It trapped inside a container so there is no way for it to escape and i check the rock it sitting near i am positive the big anemone ate it because it was spitting out some tentacles when i pick it up to look for my Flame tip.

Wow!!! That's crazy!!!! I'm about to start up a nem prop tank...guess I better be sure they get fed lol.

was the big anemone a BTA or some other kind of anemone?

It's not uncommon for a larger anemone of one species to eat a small anemone of another species.

They are all the same specie. All BTA just one is much bigger and the other is small.

Came home today and saw the big anemone spitting out some tentacles and now really positive that it ate the other anemone. Now i will have to move my Lemondrop nem
