flame wrasse hiding

hi i just got a flame wrasse that i added to my 120g DT. i got him 3 days ago and i properly acclimated him and everything. days ago i was looking for him and he was hiding under a rock. 2 days later, hes still hiding under a rock, and today hes still in the same area.

is this normal wrasse behaviour? is he ever going to move around?

Male flame wrasses ship very poorly and often times do not make it. What else is in the tank?

give him time and look out for others harrasing him as that may be the reason .

like the others have said..it could be other fish picking on him and male flames do not ship very well...also it is not uncommon for fairy wrasses to hidea few days as they get use to the tank..he he eating?

what other fish do you have?

I got a pair of flames about 2 weeks ago, but I seperated the tank with egg crate so they were able to get aclimated to the tank a little better. They were out after about a day. After about a week I removed the egg crate and the old fish (mainly my kole tang) fought with them a little, and they hid for another day (the male longer than the female), but after about two days they were fine if a little easily frightened.
