Flameback Angel ... total bully!

As the title says, I have a flameback angel who is a complete bully! I added a royal gramma and yellow corisse yesterday and it wont let either leave their caves! I plan on exiling the flameback in a small in tank net holding cage in the corner. Is there anything else I could do or is this the best solution?

These small angels are notoriously aggressive. I'd say give it some time, and see if things change. Your other fish are scrappy enough.

As long as there are no injuries I would wait it out.

Hey Peter, thanks for chiming in.
The yellow cor. came out of the sand for about 5 seconds and the angel was on his tail circling him and chasing him until he burrowed again. As for the royal gramma, the poor thing is pasted to the very end of his cave trying to explore but always retreating back into its cave. Been like this for approx a day.

One day is nothing to worry about, he is just trying to tell them that hes the boss of the tank, he should relax in a few days. Just showing dominance

I agree with the others. So long as there is no damage, I would see if it doesn't sort itself out in a couple of days. You could try taping a mirror to the outside of the tank where the flame hangs out to see if that distracts it.

usually you want to add the flame angel last, i have but hes a very nice fish, he swims with everybody more curious about everything all the time then aggressive, he loves the hippo tang i have in there.

Yeah, it was just too good of deal to pass up though... got the little guy for i think $20.
