Hey everyone

I just wanted to know everyones experiences with Flamehawks and a pistol shrimp?

I know some hawkfish will eat shrimp but I wanted to know if anyone has been able to keep them together successfully?
Is it possible for them to co-exist?

I have a 65 gal tank with about 50 lbs of LR

Thanks

There have been stranger things that happen, but IMO, I wouldn't try it.

My flame ate my cleaner shrimp a while back, and I haven't tired another shrimp since.

I have had bulleseye pistol and a coral banded with my flame hawk for about a year. My hawk hasn't bothered either of them. The pistol is paired with a yellow watchman.

yeah I have a watchman goby which the flame has been harrasing a bit...
but I wanted to get a pistol shrimp to pair up with my goby if possible - I wonder if they would work as a team to protect eachother from the hawkfish

I was kind of thinking that too..... If the flame takes out the goby, it's a tougher call.

Make sure to let us know how it works out....if you try it of course...;)

Will do!

As of right now my watchman goby has found a hole in the rock which he now lives in, dont see him come out too much :(
