If you buy the third one now you will get the discount, so by default you are getting the discount anyway, but we cant back date discounts. If we did we would be flooded with people saying they will buy another unit if we give them the discount now and then likely wont go onto buy the third or fourth etc.

This is one of the reasons why the sale is just for single unit so people that have purchased before and want to increase their mitras count they also can benefit.
