Flasher wrasse: better 2 or alone?

Hi, I have a Paracheilinus mccoskeri male and I have read about losing coloration if not being with a female or other males. And as I don´t have room for more than a 2 of them, I would like to know if is better to have it alone or with another mccoskeri male or with mccoskeri female or even with one different flasher male. Which option is better for their lifes and colors?

I didn't have problems with my McCosker losing color without a female.

For interpersonal behavior a pair would be interesting but like Alexa says there should be no loss of coloration.
