flasher wrasse compatibility

How well will a blue flasher wrasse (Paracheilinus lineopunctatus) and a filamented flasher wrasse (Paracheilinus filamentosus) get along in a 120?

I don't see a problem.

My Fliamented has been picking on my new Red Tail Flasher, but its probably because they are similar in size and color. Plus, its only the first full day they have been in there together, as I just got the Red Tail Flasher yesterday.

Use an acclimation box and you should be ok.

after having owned 20-30 species of wrasse's, ive found the easiest way for me to introduce new one's was put them in a container for a couple days in the tank so the new fish see's the old and the old get use to seeing the new fish, then after lights are out i releae the new one to the tank. it is always a 50\50 chance with wrasse's on the chasing part. My super male flame wrasse is pretty territorial. but he has been with me almost 2 years and was one of first fish in the tank. currently i have a supermale flame, a Paracheilinus lineopunctatus, Halichoeres melanurus. had a sub supermale pink margin also that took a week or two for the chasing to stop, but it ended up going to a 450g system

I got the acclimation chamber. Hopefully it works. I added a piece of PVC for him to hide in.

Thanks Bradley. It's a good thing I have it. The two wrasses don't seem to like each other. The fireworks are awesome to watch though.

It's a small "Pla-House". I picked it up at Pet Supermarket for five or six bucks. It has a handle on top. I unhooked the handle from one side, slid it over the center brace of the aquarium, and reattached it on the other side.

I changed things a little bit. The resident, blue flasher, was clearly the aggressor, so I captured him, and put him in the acclimation chamber. Now the new filamented flasher has free run of the tank, with no harassment. I figured this will give the new guy a chance to get comfortable with the new surroundings. This should give him time to learn where all the good hiding spots are. I'll probably keep the blue flasher in the acclimation chamber all week. Hopefully by then they will have calmed down.

had to do this a couple times when they didnt get along, take fish thats been in out for a couple days
