flasher wrasse having trouble eating

Hey guys,

I currently have a 30g with a pair of clowns, an engineer goby, and a flasher wrasse. I had a flasher wrasse about a year ago that ended up dying after 3 or 4 months of being in the tank. This one is now starting to show the same symptons as the last. He is extremely skinny and seems to have trouble eating. He goes after the food aggresively at first but seems to have trouble swallowing the food. He'll end up with some of the food hanging out of his mouth as he cannot swallow.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,
Ryan

I have never seen that before. What is your salinity at that may affect him eating? Is he getting beat up any by the other fish? Did you buy both your wrasses from the same place could it be something from where you got them? Have you tried changing his food? What are you feeding him? Is the flow in your aquarium high could that be pushing on him making it difficult to eat? Try getting a breeder net or box and placing him in that to see if he will eat better. I am not a fish expert in the least just giving you a few ideas maybe you can figure something out.
