flashers, fairys, and anthias

It was a female crosshatch trigger. I don't know what happened. She always ate like a horse, fat and healthy. Then one day I came down and she was passed. It was a sad day.
I had her for well over 2 years.

I do appreciate the early pictures of Brad's aquarium, it encourages me and gives me an idea of what I can expect. But I have not received any suggestions as to the order of introducing the fish I want, which fish may be semi-aggressive, or strategies for ordering them. I need to plan what I will do for fish long before I actually buy them.

I was hoping to get suggestions for fish, much like some posters do who post about an imagined tank and fish list. I especially wanted to understand strategies for buying groups of fish beyond jumping on DD offerings when they appear.

Sorrry for the frustration, but I have spent 100s of hours on this project and a year so far and now that I'm getting to the point where I can begin to plan to add some livestock, the path is not very clear.

Thanks for any help.

I'm sorry Mark for highjacking your thread. I definately went overboard.
As far as your fish order, I would add flashers first, any flashers together will be fine and since they are the smallest, you shouldn't get any aggression from them when adding fairies or anthias. As far as fairy wrasses. The list you have, I would go Rhomboid first, Lineatus, Labouti. The more aggressive fairy would be your scotts or in my case conde. I don't have any scotts now, I used to but they have passed. And I really need to find a new home for my conde. He terrorizes my flashers. So avoid them. I would add the anthias last.
Again, I'm sorry I took over your thread.

Mark,
If you plan to add a bunch of wrasses just know that there will be some only available here and there and you'll be adding them kinda on a as you find em basis. Pairs and groups can be hard to come by and everyone want them. Be prepared to pull one out if it doesn't work out. Social acclimation is a good idea ( Bradley has some great shots of his acclimation box ). As far as aggressive species goes, the 4 I hear the most about being aggressive are Conde, Pylei, mystery and Scotts. Hope this helps. Just go slow and feed well and Im sure your tank will be amazing.

Thank you for the fish advice Brad and Brett. Brad, I really enjoyed seeing the progression of your tank, it just seemed that all activity stopped without any fish advice. Everyone else also enjoyed the pictures and responded. There can never be too many pictures of your gorgeous tank.

I'll have to get a few pictures of my tank posted so that you can see what I have done and maybe make some helpful suggestions.

I can check with an LFS to see if they can order a group of fish through one of the local wholesalers. We also have sponsors on our local board (PNWMAS) that are based in Hawaii and claim to be able to get many of the expensive fish (Rhomboid, Cross-hatch, etc.) for a good price.

I think my current plan is to get a group of flashers first if possible. I think one of our local dealers is willing to quarantine a group of flashers for me and be sure they are eating well before I pick them up. Of course that is a couple of months away (2 months before order, 2 months quarantine).

Are there any other beautiful fairies in particular that you would suggest, perhaps one with interesting behaviors?

Thanks for all of the help and encouragement.
Mark
