Flashlight fish

Don't know much about them other than the fact that they do well in dark and colder tanks. I did see a nice group at Chicago's Shedd but they were in a tank without a light and I was only able to see them with light from surrounding tanks.

I had one for about a month. They are incredible fish. at night you see a blue orb flying around your tank. I hear them referred to as deepwater fish all the time, but I saw them in relatively shallow water in australia.

looks like there are shallow and deepwater species... advertisement states they are difficult-- who knows how they determine that??

Do a search here on RC on nthem you should find the information that you are looking for.

I've thought about them, but never pulled the trigger and got on after what reading that I have done on them being difficult to keep long term. There is one variety that is easier.

I have a 60 G cube tank which is dark, NPS corals, should be a good fit for it. gonna give it a shot, thanks everyone :)
