I am ordering this unit with all the bells and whistles. I was wondering if you guys with th eflashsticks could video the sunrise/sunsest and also storm sequence so we that dont have it can see what it looks like ? If possible could Matthis or AQD do this please thank you :)

These are the best Videos yet that have surfaced on the net for the amazing GHL LED effect lights, there are three videos in the series.

I also have a retailer working on doing a full lighting demo with dimmable T5 lights also

After I buy the Plus II controller, I'd be interested in buying this LED stick. Have there been any noticable benefits to having this effect over reef tanks?

You get a far greater control of Moon and sunrise, you can not achive sunrise with standard T5 lighting the spectrum does not allow it very well.

Plus you can have the thunderstorm effect to wow your fellow reefers! Program a surge with some tunze pumps and you can have a real storm on your reef!

There is also the serious side to this, the ProfiLux is THE only controller that gives 1-10V interfacing options.

The thunderstorm effects are real cool to kick back and watch with a beer on a late Friday night, but also the ProfiLux with its 1-10V abilities provides genuine enviromental control for true simulation of sun rise moonrise and fall. I am not aware of another controller on the market that can offer this degree of replicated control.

There are 3 LED options

Moon effect
Sunrise/set
Full effect simulation

All available in spot or Light stick. The light sticks being 55cm long that attach via P clips.

We suggest for tanks over 48inches, two sticks or lamps for best effect.

Great effects have been achieved by having one spot lamp either end of a 5' upwards tank and bouncing the light off the surface, you tend to get a greater storm effect this way and also with the sunrise and moonrise aim the intensity as you require on certain parts of the tank, just like in reality.

The sticks are great if you prefer a more all over effect.

I will have a video to put up soon. I showcased the T5 dimmable lighting features and the sunrise, sunset, and thunderstorm yesterday at the Mid Michigan Marine Conference.

I have one L stick in stock with more coming this week.
