Flo´s Comeback

What I forgot:
Yes since the material is completely dead I will be dosing po4 and no3 supplements to get the biology up and running and I hope the life rock will play its role also!!
Will post some pics of Norbert's (Eporeef inventor) show tank later!!

Cheers

Hi Flo,
You know I almost buy 2 MP40 last year because I've read fantastic things about it and I also like not having cables inside the tank. But the week I was placing the order I start reading lots of posts about rust problems and tanks issues because of that.
The fact it's I keep thinking about the Vortech....
What do you think about those issues?

Hey mate!

Yes I think about it but I never head any of those problems and I've been using this pumps since they were available here in Austria
I don't know if this pump can even rust on the wet side since there is only plastic and the ceramic axel and the rotor but I will keep those problems in mind

On the other hand a magnet of a tunze of a friend of mine also had a problem with rust and killed nearly all of his stock... so u aren't safe anywhere... but I think keeping an eye on this matter is important
Normally I do monthly checks when I clean the pumps

Cheers

So guess I got my dslr out of hibernation and too some better pictures with a better white balance

Finally the second lamp arrived today and I hung it over the tank as fast as I could... and what shall I say... I am super happy!!!

But see for yourself

So now I have to wait for the rest to start

It looks super-duper Flo. Are the wooden thingies to suspend the light units just a temporary arrangement or permanent fixture?

Wooohhooohohohohoo :D looks bangin' Flo :D

Thanks dom
Yes and since Philips finally showed up with a macOS version of their lightstudio the lights got even more user friendly

Thanks!
Yes at first I was thinking of this being a permanent solution but I'm not happy with it and now I'm looking for something other... maybe the same material as the stand but smaller...

woooohoooo!!!
More light!!!!!!
NIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!! :)

Thanks Matt!
I'm so happy with the way the lights fill the tank... really can't wait for it to be filled

Beautiful set up. I like the rock work.

Thank you very much!!

Btw here are some pictures of the show tank from the inventor of the Eporeef rocks

Looks great Florian.
The lights have a nice spead.

I am not sure if you wanted to keep the tank rimless or with canopy, but a rail with a hanging kit with look nice and clean.

Thanks mate!
Will be with a canopy to get a handle on the lightspread
Have to check out how to solve this issue

Hi Flo,
Do you think I could go with just 1 Coral Care unit?
Tank is 120cmx60x55.
I would like to try those lights but the price for 2 units it's very high for a test...

Hey!
Depends on the placement of the corals. If the most light hungry corals are near to the lamp it could work!
But Philips says 80x80cm is the area the lamp could fill

Cheers

If I place 2 I'll get lots of light outside the tank.
When you had only 1 light did you notice those 80cm fill limit?

Looks good flo! That baby mp10 at the bottom was a good choice too. Personally, I love the scape, one of the best I've seen for my taste, no joke.

Thanks mate
Really appreciate it

The baby mp10 was one I tried to sell for quite some time but nobody bought so I am using it for this, fits perfectly
