Anyone know where to buy a float valve, the electric type used in an ATO around the NRV area? I am willing to drive as far as Roanoke.

Theres a bunch of places that sell them online but the shipping is more than the valve itself!

thanks

I'm about to order some from aquahub. $6.49 each plus shipping. I was going to order at least half a dozen to have around when other people needed them... Shipping is about $6.50 regardless of how many you need. (within reason) I can get one or more for you and whomever else needs them. Let me know, I would like to order on monday.

Here is a link to the particular model I was going to order. I have one like it, works fine. If you want a different one from this site, pm me a model # and I will get it for you. Should be in by the end of the week at the latest.

I am putting the order in as I type. I've got 2 for kmitch and one for coolfish5. I am also ordering half a several extras for whoever needs one. Let me know.

so how is everyone planning on using theirs? to drive a solenoid../..powerhead../..aqualifter../..peristaltic?

Mine will be wired for aqualifter or powerhead, so 120v through a relay. The RO is too far to run a line on the floor, and I don't have easy access under the house.
I will need the resivoir to sit on the floor, or under the tank, so probably end up using a power head unless the aqualifter can push enough to get it to the tank.
Let me know about plans for the 'wiring party'.

aqualifter should be able to barely push up into the tank, might have some trouble if it's trying to push kalk though.

JC recently got one of these from this batch (60rpm new masterflex)

and it's *really* nice (though we did have to bend fan blades back into place so it could even spin). his was only 45 i think though. the guy selling probably has a whole crate of them that he's offing one at a time.
