Florida Ceriths

So, I have a couple of Florida Cerith snails laying eggs on my glass, what's the chances of them actually hatching? I don't seem to have any fish that will them them, the only thing that bothers my snails are the hermits which I am going to be getting rid of because they have eatin about 75% of all of my snails, even when my tank is WELL fed... It's rather irritating.

I didn't spend money on the clean up crew for it to be eatin by stupid crabs...

I too have gone away from using hermit crabs. I still keep a few scarlets around, but it's amazing at how many YEARS snails will live without hermits around. I have had ceriths multiply in my tanks a few times. IME the sand has been full of tiny ceriths after the eggs hatch.

Cool cool, so they will actually hatch then? That's good. I will be plucking out these stupid crabs soon then...

The last straw was last night, they ate my fighting conch for no reason... flipped it over, and had a snack... JERKS!

I'm not a fan of killing creatures unless it's for dinner, so I will most likely get them out and put them in my fuge and see if anyone wants them.

i have 20crabs in my 29gal biocube and i have not lost a snail. crabs arent mean, people just dont realize they to need some requirments in tanks such as extra shells and throw down a hikari tablet now and than
