Flourescent brain lighting

I have some super bright maze brains (Platygra) and I am wondering if I should keep them at the bottom of my tank or push them as close to the light as is possible. I always thought the really bright flourescent colors are intended to protect the coral from overloading on UV radiation and thus would like to be kept higher in my tank. I worry because I just got them and they are a little bleached from shipping. I want to help bring out the brightest colors I can with them.

I would be hesitant to do that. I don't think these corals require intense lighting, and my brain corals keep their brilliant colours at the bottom of my tank. I think you will only stress it out by putting it directly under high lighting, especially if it's already stressed and bleaching.
