if the zoas are swaying and the skirts are moving a bit, I think that should qualify as gentle flow.. maybe a little more would be good for zoas unless they close up when you increase the flow, then it's too much.. dunno if that made sense but hope it helps..
www.garf.org has info on zoanthids. i keep mine at a low flow where the "skirts" are not moving. about 1" per second flow. different people choose different methods, mostly what works for you and if they seem to be doing good thats the keepers decision. IMO. have a great day and REEF-ON!
