Flow in a 90gal

Need some quick advice as Im ready to order!

I currently have a 90gal reef with all types of corals (SPS, LSP, soft) and fish with a sand bed. Ive got 3 MJ1200s (not moded but have the flo adapters and on a wavetimer) and about 600gph return. Ive still got a lot of deadspots in my tank and I dont think there is enough flow for my SPS to thrive.

Im looknig at 2 Koralia #4's in addition to whats currently in the tank.

What do you think? Im also up for other ideas all together.

Ive thought about a CL but am concerned about getting the wide flow area and I can not drill the tank.

I think you will be fine adding the two K4's. Then you can strategically place your existing MJ's to get any dead spots. The K4's will bump up your flow over 2000gph. You should be close to 4000 gph or 50x with that combo.

The only drawback is the K4's are big (think a coke can almost).

most effeicient powerheads are huge, your maxi jets will take care of any dead spots and your Koralia 4's will do an excellent job. Entropy hit it on the spot.

get the flo atachments off of the maxis they cut the flow drasticly

2x koralia4 will work
or for a smaller option with similar amounts of flow and stronger magnets the tunze 6025 with a simple mod.

2 Koralia 4s it is! The flo attachments on the MJs seemed to really help with the deadspots but I'll remove them whe nI get the new pumps.

Is there any reason to ever need more flow than 50gph turnover?

is there any reason not..lol think about how much turnover rate is in the ocean....the more flow the more oxygen....etc etc Healthier livestock and a happier you

the K4's will be fine for your tank, You dont wanna make your tank a whirlpool lol but the K4's on your system will do wonders
