flow in SPS tank , confusing

Is this a new tank? Seems to be the common slime attributed with a maturing tank.. Dino's will usually start to get stringy along with the bubbles, doesn't seem to be yours.. There's more than one color of cyano and brown is one of them fyi =)..

I personally would just wait it out, keep you nutrients in line ( sure that's already going on with zeo) and have patience. Myself I would syphon it out vs scrubbing it into the water column

IMHO, syphon slim algie out if you can, but it may not directly relate to your current enough or not. For currents in tank, random currents probably more important than how strong it is. Most SPS will tell you if the current is too strong to its need by died on the area directly hit by the current.

You can check the following link (my tank) on reply #589, which show one of my staghorn SPS hurt by strong currents and recovery after I cut those tips and changed the direction of pump.

I have been scrubbing and adding cs with zeobak daily , would that help ?

Zeobak suppose use twice a week instead of daily, basic on my understanding. However, CS you can use daily.
IMHO, CS is a good carrier to help Zeobak and/or KZ Biomat cover on all your rocks and sand bed equally.

I think "time" is another factor that eventually stabilize your tank. Don't too worry about it.

What about zz ? Do u suggest to dose cs + bak on alternate days and cs + bio mate on the other days ?

Master in Zeovit.com suggested me use ZZ to solve my cyano issue, but it does not very success on my case after a 10 days dosing.:headwallblue:
However, many reefers in Taiwan did observe good results after dosing ZZ.
