What type of signal do you need and flow rate?

I've used these and they seem to hold up well. You can use an arduino to give you a readout. I use my ReefAngel controller.

The custom fields are the gph flow rates for several lines I monitor.

This looks great and could be a good option but I'm looking for more of a low tech option for now.

Unfortunately there probably isn't a low tech option for saltwater. If there is one that takes the reading on it's own it's going to cost a fortune.

Neptune will be introducing one soon they said. No idea on the pricing or anything but if you have an apex already you might wait and see.
