I have a dc 10000 return pump.my drain is a herbie with a gate valve that i use to adjust flow down to my sump.I am presently running my return at about 75-80% but i could ramp it up and open my valve more if i wanted .thoughts on more gallons per hr through my system?140 gal DT 20 gal sump
gyre and sea swirl for flow

I think those pumps can be ran 100% no problem. dc10000 is not to strong for your tank. I was running 2 dc12000 on a 180. If you have your pump plumbed with 3/4" or 1" line it will not push the amount of water pump is rated for. It's design is a flow pump not a pressure pump. I would turn it up if you like and see how the sump handles it.

I agree, crank it and see what it looks like. As long as the water is not rushing through the dump I don't see a problem with it.

I run a dc12000 in my 120DT, 40 gal sump. I have (2) 3/4 supplies. Run it about 3/4 as the water level sits too high at the over flows and I'm afraid I'll flood the tank
