Flow recommendation, please

I am trying to decide on equipment to simulate lagoon flow (lots of low-velocity, tidal turnover) in a 50 gallon tank. I was thinking of running the Red Sea Wavemaster Pro with Tunze Nanostream 6025's, but someone has suggested that the Wavemaster is not appropriate with these pumps.

Comments?

I would rather not spend that huge chunk of change for the Tunze Multi-controller plus the Nanostream 6055's if I don't have to. If the Nanostream 6055's are acceptable with the soft-start 7095, wouldn't they also be acceptable with the soft-start Wavemaster, or am I missing some critical bit of engineering knowledge?

The 6025s and 6045s should be switched on and off at a minimum of 15 minute cycles, soft start or not.

The 7095 does not work like a soft start wave maker that ramps up the AC voltage (which is hard on an AC motor). The 7095 interfaces directly with the diver unit of the 6055 which in turn controls the DC voltage going to the motor. Not only is this a better way to go, but the 7095 has a lot of really cool features especially when you add more pumps.

Ah... DC not AC. Thank you, that seems to be that crucial bit of info I was missing. I doubt I'll be adding any more pumps, but the 7095 does have that cool moonlight features.

Ultimately, my concern is that I'll plop down $1000 and it won't be what I want and need. When it comes to flow, I HAVE done that before and it's a painfully expensive mistake.
