Flow with DI resin

Due to co2 issues with my well water, apparently I will have to "degas" my water after RO and then send it through DI. How fast can water flow through DI resin and still be effective?

Taz

The answer probably depends on the specific DI, but you do not want to send it too fast. I'd probably test it by trial and error with a TDS meter. :)

That would be hard to generalize - depends upon how much resin you have, and what's in the water you are pushing through it. I think Randy's approach is the way to go here.

what is method used to degas water? i use resin very fast. and only have 12 to 20 tds from source water. have not checked after ro menbrane yet. tds after di is 0. could this be reason why resin does not last long?

My tds after membrane is between 0 and 1 , but I deplete a whole DI cartridge overnight in about 80 gallons.

The link that Randy posted also shows how to set up a "degassing" system.

Nice, I've been looking for degassing system for a while. This would work except it'd doesn't degass and DI at the same time. IME I can deionize 200 gal H2O no problem but if I let it set overnight it just chews thru the DI. Maybe just unscrew the DI chamber and remove the resin so it doesn't just sit in the water.
