idan,

For what it's worth I had a bad hair algae problem I was about to give up and I was loosing interest in my tank I put a gfo rector in there with the high capacity brs gfo and everything melted away now I'm
Back in love with my tank

Can you give me information please? part number and so...
also I dont have sump yet so I`ll hang it into the tank

I was wondering is GFO will solve the problem safer...?

depends on many things

if it is a new tank having algae is normal

There are many ways of dealing with excess nitrates and phosphate besides GFO or antibacteria

without knowing your water measurements its hard to recommend one particular method.

water changes
Macro fuge
ATS
Fluconazole
better skimming
filter socks
GFO

can all be used or a combination of the above. In your case we don't have a clue which would be best based on such limited information about your tank
