Fluorescing Aiptasia

Hi guys,

New to the forum; I thought I'd might consult your expertise and ask whether or not the renowned pest 'Aiptasia' fluoresces under actinic lighting?

I believe I have a few on my live rock, although these aren't fluorescing. I have seen another lookalike on my sand bed, and it's tentacles fluoresce a green colour.

I would like to have posted a photo, but I do not possess a macro lens.

The ones I have seen do not glow. That doesn't mean there aren't some that do.

Some do some don't. Mojanos are the really pretty ones under the purple lights.

Perhaps the ones in the sand bed are ball anemones. How big are they?

i think they are majano's you are seeing

My Majanos were quite attractive...I killed them with lemon juice anyway. They are little anemones that can move around your tank and sting as they go and multiply fairly quickly. Just a problem I didn't need.
