After running my planted 60 gallon tank for 7 months I decided to jump into the saltwater side of the hobby. I purchased a Fluval evo 13.5 and set it up on a stand in my living room. I added sand and live rock then proceeded to fill it with saltwater. After filling the tank and turning on the return pump, water began to spray out from the front of the tank. After cleaning the mess, I took the tank back to the retailer and we examined it. It turns out the the angle corner between two of the glass panels had about half of it which was not attached. There was no indication of any silicon between them, but there must have been a little bit as it held for 5 minutes before leaking. I was refunded but now I am unsure of purchasing the same model. Has anyone else had this issue before? I called Hagen and they claimed it had not been reported before.
