Very nice set-up, it is going to be a fantastic back room you get when you are finished. I am gonna subscribe and can't wait to see some glass soon ;=)
Have you tested you RO/DI system? Is the idea to make a it into a automatic top off sytem for your tank( sorry I haven't see such a advanced RO set-up before)

Best of luck with it all

so do I!!! :bounce1:

oh yeah! it's a crazy horse! as all filters and membranes are brand new, for each 1 gallon of RO/DI product, 1.2 gallon is wasted - it's a good score! but I'm not so happy - discard water makes me waste my hair and it's not green!

I'm trying to find out a way to harness this water... let me think...

but my ATO will be based on gravity - the RO/DI system is located on my laundry, the reservoirs are on the attic - i'm working on water mixing station - i'll upload some schema and pics sooner.

looking great Euler. What is the pressure and temp on your water. Warmer water at the right pressure will make the membrane more efficient so you will get less waste.

nice build im loving it :) man i love your skimmers too by the way.. lol if you decide you dont need both i'll take one :)

 thanks Matt!

always 45psi without booster pump and 81psi with the pump turned on - 16 degree celsius / 61F, do you think it's possible to get better results?

I'm thinking something like [RO/DI] > waste water > household water tank > [residential water use (shower, cooking, etc.)]

what do you think?

:celeb1: LOL

btw, nice setup yours! I love AquaC skimmers - they work flawlessly!!! And you have a good set of equipments - apex, tunzes, wavemakers.

on my QT i'm going to use an aquac ev-180 w/ eheim-1262, two tunze 6025.

i thought it's possible to control tunze pumps using apex and a tunze's controller, are you working like this?

I don't believe the tunze 6025 can be controlled.. if I remember correctly the smallest nano 2 stream pump that can be controlled is the 6055 like the ones I use.. I just bought my 2nd 6055 for my 90 and with the wave box and the 6055's going from 0-100% man it looks Soo awesome huge 1.5" waves I love my apex.. they are kinda a pain to setup but with a huge tank like yours they are almost a requirement

You're right, 6025 can't be controlled - i was looking for information on tunze's site.

1.5"??????? crazy!!!!! :headwalls:

I just make a small test and loved it! loved more than my notebook! :spin1:

do you have a build thread? I can't find it.

I never did a build thread.. hehe I always figured who would want to read about a measly 90 gallon reef, lol I'm already saving and planning for a 98" x 28" x 28" 330 gallon tank though. Main focus will be on sps and my sohol tang I've wanted for years. Water turnover in this tank will be close to 45x. Going to run two reeflo snapper hybrid closed loop pumps, 2-4 tunze 6105's and lots of 1" closed loop bulkheads on floor and back wall of tank to keep everything moving and no dead spots.. I like to create realistic environments in my tank with a ton of live rock and it needs a lot of flow to keep the detritus from settling

guys, just to remember in this week I've been working on tank construction - if you need more details, just get into this page >>> http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2003931&page=6

I'm talking about tanks:
  • #6 - Quarentine tank - 72 gallons / 270 liters
  • #7 - QT Sump - 38gallons / 144 liters
And tanks:
  • #2 - Frag tank - 72 gallons / 270 liters
  • #4 - Refuge (huge fuge) - 60 gallons / 225 liters
  • #5 - Return tank - 38gallons / 144 liters
