Dont know the comparison (we will compare), but thats not the issue. The club doesnt do this to create revenue, it does it for the members benefit; again another advantage of membership.

Past years auctions the people bringing in stuff where the ones at a disatvantage having to settle for nothing in returm of helping the club, and its members.

Yes the club made a slight profit if that answers your question. That will be used for the next raffle/auction.

I won a the Cherub Angel. I only put one $1 ticket in that cup. Mind you i put alot more in the MultiAngel cup, and didnt get it. LOL

BTW- What item did you not consider "reef item". Lemonpeel angel maybe?

What a great meeting! John, you are obviously extremely knowledgeable and a great speaker.

Quick question for anyone who remembers, John mentioned a type of schooling fish that was great and not all that popular to keep. Said he had them in his 60g. I think they were Blue Reef Chromis (Chromis cyaneus)? But some research on RC has a lot of people saying they will kill each other down to 2. Anyone know anything about it? Or John, if he is reading this thread?

I took home the Lemonpeel and yes he nips but its all good in his new home. This species is well known for picking at large-polyped stony corals, and tridacnid clam mantles. It may also eat some soft coral polyps, as well as pick at zoanthids. Therefore this fish, as true with most all Angelfishes, cannot be completely trusted if these invertebrates are present.

I know the club doesnt do this to create revenue, it does it for the members benefit. This was what I was referring to if we thought it got more people involved compared to usual by having a combination of reef and non reef items. It sure seemed like it did.

I recall him talking about a species of cardinal. I've had the same three blue green chromis that I used to cycle my tank over 2 years ago.

I remember seeing some schooling fish in his tanks that almost like freshwater tetras. I wonder if that is them?
I think these were the cardinals.

I know. I watched you put that 1 ticket into the Cherub angel jar after me and another guy were the only one;s to put tickets in there. The odds were stacked well against you Eddie, but one ticket is all it takes. Congrats.

What a great meeting. So many things made me go, "Ahhh, I am not alone" and so many other things made me say, "I've got to do a better job of husbandry and maintenance.

Here is my sole video of my Potter's angels doing there "thing". Well, I am having trouble signing in. So, I'll post it later.

We should do it at La Carreta or Versailles and make it like a dinner meeting... They have a nice meeting room/club room in La Carreta on Bird Rd and on 37/8street. Just an idea....:beachbum:

I'm in. I love Versailles and La Carreta. Plus, it's a lot closer for me.
