i cant belive it 2nd fish!!!! 1st was a flame angel light signs of ich found dead on the cage of a MP10. 2nd fish Sailfin Tang different tank different MP10 with the foam guard found her just a few minutes ago stuck to the wet side cage !!!!! im ****ed. she was moved to this tank after some slight fin burn. i changed the sump on her original tank and spiked ammonia for a few days. she recovered and filled in her fins. was eating like a chap and looking great the Bam MP10 strikes
what is it with these damn prop pumps ??? they say the fish are strong enough to swim away. im about to toss this **** out and go old school big pump more returns. i dont see the benifit if they are fish killers.....:mad2:

Doubt its the pump. Those fish were gonners. My Blenny hangs out on top of the pump and its never been a problem. Sorry for your loss.

Agreed with others, only time I had a death was when the silly 6 line swam into it to make it home.

Agreed. It's your water parameters, not the pump.

What I always do when adding new fish (MP60) is turn it down form max, to about 1/4 for a week or 2. Let the fish adjust to the tank, and build up strength, then turn it up again.

You may want to look into a UV sterilizer for the Ich.

water parameters ? nh4=0 no2=0 no3=maybe 1 ph8.1 dkh 10 cal 410 spec grav 1.026 temp 78.2 so that i know not to be a factor
the flame i know was sick but the sail fin had zero reason to love the prop

the fish died first, Then the pump found them
kinda like a murder mystery your just seeing the husband standing over his dead wife after the boyfriend killed her and left the scene
