Focus issues!!

Been taking pics of my corals with my Canon T1i and using both autofocus or manual, pics are processing out of focus even though they appear focused through the viewfinder.....

I feel it may be because of the aquarium glass even though there is no glare. Also not a shutter speed issue...

Anyone else experience this?

Are you shooting through a bowfront or curved glass? This will cause focus issues. If not, make sure you're not shooting at an angle through the glass. The lens needs to be perpendicular to the glass.

how do you know it's not shutter speed?
are you using a tripod?
have you used live view and zoomed in to assess critical focus?

What kind of lens are you using? I had the L lens and never had an issue. Perhaps it may be the lighting or ISO settings.
