What is the best thing to dip frozen food in before feeding it to a mantis, or even an anemone? Whats the best frozen food I.E. krill, squid, silversides, brineshrimp........??

for a mantis the best frozen imo is krill but variety is the key to a good diet. i feed mostly krill but i throw in other food sometimes like silverside, squid or clam.

for any predacious coral, the best food is whatever will fit in its mouth. i feed mysis for thios purpose. some corals will and some wont accept cyclopeeze. brine shrimp is not very ntritious as far a frozens go but it can be used occasionally. and for those corals that dont take meaty, then phyto obviously.

the only additive Ive used is selcon. it's cheap and lasts a long time even if the effects are debatable.

Most people recommend selcon, and I use it with good success. AI would recommend a mixed diet for a mantis. The more types of frozens available, the better. shrimp, silversides, krill, etc. I would probably recommend 2-3 different frozens. I dunno bout an anenome though.

Im not only gonna feed it frozen. Would it be ok to have one kind of frozen and then snails and hermits? Ill probably go with Krill. thx

i would recommend selcon, i have the most vibrant colors out of any fish of the same species i have seen and i use selcon and feed a large variety of foods to keep the fish happy

I never dipped anything I fed to my anemone, and usually just left it to feed on light. If I did feed it I gave it a silverside or two.

Personally I feed more snails and hermits than anything.
