Food Case for longnose & Copperband Butterfly

Hi all~

3 days ago, I bought Longnose & Copperband Butterfly and
they are in adaptation case in my main tank.

They started to eat brine,mysis shrimp (Frozen) and blood worm,brineshrimp(Dried).
But I think they may fail to compete to other fishes in my main tank (Flame angel, crosshatch trigger,green cromis,purcular clown fishes)

Fortunately they have long mouth so If I prepare food for them, I think I can keep them.


Do you have any experience about this or could you show me what you got? (Food case)

I just use a 1" PVC end cap with 1/4" bird net over it held on with an elastic when i feed my CBB things like clam on the half shell. As mine can't compete well at all. I also feed mine directly with metal tongs, he's the only one completely unafraid of the tongs and will go right out of the water (well his nose at least) to get food off the tongs.

my CBB is the most agressice feeder in my tank, he pushed my scopas right out of the way. he is a beast

Which hole size is proper that my butterflies can pick their food easily?

copperbands are hard to get it to eat, but longnose is not

I had 2 longnose that eats anything I throw in the tank.

you can put your longnose in QT, he will eventuall eat

flakes and pellets
