Footie SPS 120g

These are pictures I took yesterday. I cleaned it out this past weekend on Sunday. It seems to be doing its job. I think I need to adjust the length the lights are on.

I agree, I believe you need the lights on for a longer period since you have dark green growth. How long are you running the lights on the scrubber?

I'm currently running them from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM for a total of 8 hours.

How many hours to do you think I should run them? 10, 12, 14??

I would increase to 10 hours then check growth after 1-2 weeks, if your still getting the same extra dark green growth move it up to 12 hours a day.

This is a good test, please continue to provide photo updates weekly or every other week so we can see the progress.

Hey everyone,
I have increased my hours of light on my scrubber to 10 hours a day. I will keep you all posted on the differences.

I have another question for people running Radion Pro's:
I have been kicking around the idea of adding 2x54W T5's to my system to help achieve a more full spectrum. I just don't know if its going to be worth it. Fellow RC member jdm1114 has supplemented his LED's with T5's and he says he loves it. The only reason I'm a little hesitant is because the Radion Pro's have a broader spectrum then his LED fixture.

Is it worth the money to add T5's? If so... What color/type bulb?

I know of a couple people with Radion Pros who are looking to add T5's. I would say Coral+ or Purple+ (if you like that color) would be the best supplement, but it's just an opinion. I'm doing both Coral+ and Purple+ supplementing over my 150 with Maxspect Razors.

Tanks looks great, I'm following along but forgot to post a hello. :)

I found this guy in my tank last week. I've noticed that chunks of my montipora have been missing. The crab was caught last night using a glass jar and a piece of yellow tail tuna was I was eating for dinner that night.

Such a humangous beast...at least it looks big...

He is pretty big! About the width of a half-dollar. I don't know where he came from because I only used two medium size live rock pieces to seed my tank. He had to have grown a lot within the tank.

UPDATE.....

Its been quite sometime since I've updated this post. I've had a lot going on lately (Got Married..). So the tank was on the back burner for awhile.. Also i had a very bad ich outbreak and lost a lot of fish. I had to rip the entire tank apart to catch the last couple fish for a 6 week QT of the fish and the Display. I ended up only being able to save my carpenter wrasse, starry blenny, 1 chromis, and foxface.

Lesson learned: MUST QT ALL FISH!

When i took the fish out i had a big algae outbreak also.. I decided to let the tank run its own course. Throughout this time i lost a couple frags. Once the fish were back in the tank the algae issues took another couple months to stabilize.

Lately the tank has been looking much better with good growth. My Alk is low and i've been dosing baking soda in my ATO to bring it up. I currently have 7 chromis, 1 ORA neon dottyback, and a Blue Eyed Kole Tang (Two Spot Bristletooth) in the QT.

Also, I removed my DIY Turf Scrubber. I was never able to really dial it in. I may try it again once i have a larger need for more nutrient exploration.

FTS will be coming soon.
