anybody with a packed acro tank.
It's starting to happen, my acro frags turned into colonies and now they are getting close together. I love the look of tanks like Menards with all the colonies seeming to wrap around each other but I'm cautious and don't want to lose anything. I keep everything away from my mille's but I'm letting some of the others grow close.
This A. divaricata and A. cerealis are about 1/8" from touching. Do I just let it grow or should I trim them up? What's the rule here and how do you guy's go about getting these tanks that looked so jammed packed with acros but nothing seems to battle eachother?

OMG that's the funniest thing I've read in a while.

Man snowstorm , I was gonna do some tank services today, what a crummy day.........Well back to the topic.:)

Pat...........I would not worry about those 2, they could intertwine together. The first time they touch U will see burn marks on both corals but will manage and learn to live side by side. The same w/ montis. and acros, montis will get easily nuke by acros. and then again montis. are smart and form a big shade to gain control and take all the light needed by the acros. so just cut and trim. But do not put new frags next to the colony it will wined up dead, grow it out first then move it closer, coz now they are stronger and can be able to battle w/ the other close to, at the end harmony, just trim the fast growing one.

In the the wild, I witness this back home. Acros., montis, other corals piled up on top of one another. That is why we have so many little islands in the pacific , start out as coral boomies emerging into islands.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Rush songs
