For those wanting better performance out of their skimmer....

Any pump that isn't already maximized can be done and see great gains. That includes pretty much everything out there with the exception of New ER modded pumps and Delteec/H@S pumps. The 2400 and 3500's would definately see a good amount of improvement from this....

why would you put a mesh wheel on a water mixing pump?

To aerate the water at the same time.

Kent

My ASM G4X has a Sedra 9000 that needs some help. Not too many bubbles in the body of the skimmer since I have not done any mods to it. Plan on doing the Gate Valve and Recric Mods eventually.

Fade and I are going to come out with Farmer and Chelsey.

Count me as needing the product for altering my pump.

OK here's what I need you guys to do- PM me with the kind and number of pumps you are bringing so I can arrange for enough material to do this. Judging by the response I'll probably have to get more materials so maybe we could work something like a $1 a pump contribution to the "material fund" :-) You guys can just bring it with you when you come that day.

Dennis- It could be done but I'd have to look at it to figure out how. Could you post a good sized pic of your skimmer from the internet?

Dennis- I was just thinking....You could make the Mag 18 into a meshwheel pump and get rid of the venturi riser on your skimmer...would kick butt.....

Hey Capo- Check this out......

"Kent, are you talking about the ocean runner 2700s? I modded a 3700 last night out of curiosity and I was getting 45-50 scfh out of it on my 15-150 meter....."

That's about 1500LPH and it was still quiet so it looks like your in for a treat :-) It will depend on application and your venturi type but they'll still kick butt none the less....

Nice where do you have the water line on the skimmer looks like it is 1 - 1 1/2" below the neck.. Mine wouldn't even skim that low.
