Many Years ago this was tank of the Month Here on Reef central- I converted it over to freshwater to try something new- I wanted to share an update. Even though its not saltwater-some of you may find it interesting :)
It holds the a few of the worlds rarest fish-Xanthic Gars- along with Freshwater stingrays.

Wow, that's an incredible setup. I don't know much about systems like this but I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Beautiful!

Very creative. That would be very cool as a mangrove swamp.
Back to salt and have typical fish you find in that ecosystem.

Daniel.

Is there a thread here on reef central to the old saltwater setup? The freshwater looks really cool. You are brave putting your whole body in with those gars.

really nice, I'd love to copy that. my 55 gallon is freshwater planted.. but doesn't look so good these days.

This is back from when it was in my 75 gallon, got a 55 gallon at the $1/gal sale and moved it so I could have the larger tank for a reef. I haven't taken pics since I moved it.

damn that's a long tank. I can see why it hasn't been cleaned in months.. no way I'd get in ice cold water with a bunch of gars that have razor sharp teeth. Subscribed.. for all the other videos.. looks like hours of entertainment

This has to be one of the most amazing exhibits I've ever seen.. Congrats on your creation! [emoji7][emoji119]🏾[emoji122]🏾

Appreciate that - Hope you enjoy all the other videos. I plan on shooting videos of amazing tanks around that I find-both freshwater and Salt.

I believe it was January 2008 TOM

The saltwater bug is biting me hard- mangrove would be awesome!

Great looking tank! Why did you convert it to freshwater in the first place?
Just time to try something new.

By far the coolest freshwater setup I've ever seen!
Thank you! :lolspin:
That's awesome.
Appreciate that!

This tank would make a great reef. ;)
