If we could get a DIVE trip together I see some crazy sh!t while diving. I don't have a boat so I'm useless in that respect. Just trying to go Diving HAHA....I promise I will treat the Captain to as much fish(grouper, cobia, Hogfish, snapper,etc) as he wants:beer:
 
Chaos what do you see diving? Any corals like zoas or anything? I want to find some wild zoas so badly but there are like none around here.
 
PM sent. we use the small holed fishing nets, their about 12" wide with a long wooden handle. you can get them at any walmart or tackle shop for $10-$12 bucks.
 
Crazy. I use just a net that is roughly a foot wide and has very small holes. It's just like a typical collecting net. It has white cloth with small holes in it if that helps
 
Oh and I recommend you bring crappy shoes to wear out in the water. Last time I went there was so gross feeling stuff that freaked me out. You'll step on spider crabs and stuff. I just thought it was freaky so I will be bringing shoes
 
No problem. It's a fun time in ft Desoto. There is a grill and stuff there. We had a meeting there a while back. It was a fun time. Oh and you with catch a ton of shrimp in your net. So if you have an anemone or something it's great food for them
 
They are small shrimp. Smaller than a male pinky finger. Although at the meeting I stepped on a shrimp and it tried to get away. I caught it and it was a good 6 inches long. It was one of the jumbo ones people use as big bait. But that's very rare to find one of those
 
I've caught plenty of shrimp out at the skyway causeway . Medium sized bait shrimp.
There are also tiny green grass shrimp out there too. If we don't get much at F.D. we could try the causeway.

Ft desoto trip today at 2. If anyone else is interested. It's the 50th anniersary my mom said so there will be not 5$ charge to get in and there will be live bands and stuff.
