Foster & Smith Coral Conference

I would just like to know if Ice-cap can bring an updated driver to the Foster & Smith Coral Conference so wee could flash are's. They are going to be there and I don't see why they would not be bringing one along with them.Hopfully they are going to be bring one because that would save some time and money on shipping.
 
The President of Icecap will be there however he has a planned agenda and tight schedule of events. It is possible he may be able to do this but no definite answer can be provided ahead of time. It would be a wait and see thing.
 
I would like to bring my driver also. :)

I have recently had 2 incidents with the wet & dry side coming apart. The first time the vortec was running for almost 6 months with no problems. I disassembled & soaked the wet-side in vinegar to remove any coraline deposits. I also readjusted the pin spacing from 1/2" to 5/8". My tank has 1/2" thick glass.The 2nd time I had the separation it occurred only 3 weeks after the previous maintenance.

I have the new wet-side parts on order.

Also could I bring the driver alone without the dry-side motor & cord? My electrical center is in a closet on the other side of a wall. Keeps all my equipment away from the nasty saltwater.

This would be awesome!

I'd definetly bring my 2 drivers with me for upgrades. It'd also be great if you could buy the new magnets and shafts there.
 
Icecap representatives will be attending the Coral Conference but due to their tight schedule and planned agenda they will not be doing Gen 2 Flash upgrades. Any upgrades can be obtained by sending one controller in to Icecap to be reflashed. Turn around time on reflashing will be 1-2 days max. There is no charge for the upgrade other than return shipping.

I would think that a premium product, with a premium price to boot, would want to take care of as many reflashes as possible at a venue like the Coral Conference.

How much time can it really take?
 
It takes 5-10 minutes per unit possibly more if they were to sell Gen2 Magnets. Now multiply that by how many may want this done and it could be time consuming. They are there for other reasonas and as stated have a full agenda. The President of Icecap will be there and can provide you more info on this.

If Chris, the president of IceCap, had more time I'm sure he would love to help.

EcoTech Marine contracts IceCap to provide customer support for VorTech users until EcoTech is able to provide this service on our own within our own doors. As such, we cannot be too hard on them if the president of IceCap will not have time to flash drivers for us at the swap meet.
