Foster's & Smith - Dry Goods Group Buy

Chair, MACNA 2014
Greetings,

I'm placing an order with Fosters & Smith next week, using the club's 10% discount for orders over $500. We get an extra 10% off sale prices as well. Please note that the club's 10% discount does not apply to salt or frozen foods.

There is a flat rate for shipping ($18.99), regardless of the size of the order; shipping for salt IS included in that flat rate! We will divide that amount up equally among all who order. For example, with 6 people, the shipping would be about $3 each.

The 10% discount applies to products for other animals as well, so reptile supplies, small furry animal stuff and dog/cat goodies are available. Pond season is upon us, there are some good bargains.

All items will be shipped to my home in Highlands Ranch, where pickup can be arranged. (I'm about 1 mile south of C-470 & Quebec, just north of Lincoln.)

If you would like to order, please select your items and then e-mail or post a copy of your shopping cart here. At a minimum, I need the item number, a description and the quantity. For example:

CD-21410 Chemi-Pure 3pk $12.49 Qty:One
(After the 10% discount, $3.75 ea)

CD-21405 Poly-Filter 3pk $13.29 Qty:One
(After the 10% discount, $3.99 ea)

AGN-16882 Aquarium Systems Synthetic Sea Salt Reef Crystals 160 gallon mix (bucket) $39.99
(No discount)

If we have not done business together before, or you are ordering something that I could never use, I may ask for payment up front (Paypal is fine). You can use ppcalc.com to determine the proper amount, including fees.

The order will close early next week and delivery is anticipated the week of May 18th. I do have space to hold your items should you not be available immediately to pick them up.

Drop me a note if you have any questions.

Would frozen food be included in that flat rate shipping also? If so, that is a heck of a deal.

Wow, a bucket of Reef Crystals has gone up 30% since you arranged this last year. So much for deflationary pressure in the current economy:(

Frozen food has it's own shipping charge, a flat $19.99 I believe. I try and put together one big frozen food order in the Fall.

Salt has gone up, however the code above for Reef Crystals is valid at that price, today. :D

Thanks Rob...just spent $250 there last week.

pherbert, I would be interested i frozen food in doing a frozen food order. Rob, does the food qualify for 10%

No.... neither frozen foods or most salts qualify for the 10% discount.

They typically have two frozen food sales per year, and I try to coordinate around those.

I'd be interested as well in the frozen food order at some point. I'll send you my list Rob, doesn't seem like we'll hit the $500 mark unless you have a hefty order.

It may pick up over the weekend.... we'll see......

What many folks forget is that it's just not fish stuff that they can use the club discount on. I get my puppy supplies and reptile stuff there too.

Besides, it's hard to pass up inexpensive salt, with shipping less than $2-3 per bucket.

Reef Crystal prices are listed above, in the original note. That is LESS than what shows on-line. :D

I tried that and it did not work. Said something about a 2007 item. If you can get that to work I will take two.

Done. You are in for two buckets.

Rob, I also got the "2007" error. If you can still get me a bucket of Reef Crystals at that price I will take one.

Thanks for putting this together.

Hey Everyone,

We did not make the minimum order requirement, so I'm canceling the GB. I'll open one again in a month or two to see if there is enough interest.
