found a simple way to eliminate ammonia

I saw this filtration pad at my LFS, called pura filtration pad. The packaging makes some wild statements that it basically eliminates everything, including ammonia.

I purchased it thinking that I had nothing to lose (except $10.00) and a lot to gain. Well after 1 full day, my ammonia went down from .75 ppm to .10 ppm

Just passing this info along for anyone else having problems with their QT tanks and ammonia.

Polyfilters do the same thing as would a variety of chemical additives....

I have used Polyfilters and they seem to do well. I am ordering some more Poly filters and am going to try some Pura pads too.
