Fish were not QT'd. I unfortunately don't have room for a QT tank.... I drip acclimated my fish for about 30 min. I have no clue what's happening. I guess it'll have to sit dormant with just my corals and inverts for a while.
Could it be possible my leather let off a toxin? I know it was mentioned on this thread .
Do you have any evidence the death was related the bio-load?People need to learn that in this hobby nothing good happens fast.
I know we all want to see the lovely fish and corals in our tanks but one must refrain until the tank is cycled then slowly add one at a time over a long period of time. This saves money, time, and most importantly the live stock.
Slow your roll good things happin.. Haste makes waste..
I have a ground probe in the tank and I havent checked into the heater situation. I did notice on my apex that there was a short time where my temp went from a steady 78 degrees down to 74 degrees for a short time....the fish appearance wise looked totally fine! no nipping, no chunks of fish missing, just dead together in the corner. I will keep the tank fallow for 6 weeks or longer to hopefully get out whatever is in my tank and to keep an eye on it. I really appreciate everyone's feed back and possibilities!
