found my first apistasia

Hi Guys found 2 in my sump. What do i do now to keep ontop of these things? have got rid of the 2

dave ive got loads on a piece of rock i heard vinigar does it dont know how to apply it to the rock

ive took the rock out a scrubbed them with an old tooth brush, seems to have worked for now. Mine seem to be confined to the sump at the moment, the next option I have is to get some pepermint shrimp

theres a product called apitasia X in oasis, get it and kill them before they run riot. I think im gonna bob in tomorrow and pick some up.

Got any Calcium hydroxide around? Mix up a limewater slurry and get a hypodermic needle without the needle and inject the mixture into its mouth. Make sure you have low or no flow while doing this so that it takes it in internally and voila, gone. Small ones you can see may still grow so you may need to watch carefully and treat again soon but you can get on top of them.

Or if you are lazy just get a Copper banded Butterfly, I have a pretty good 3 month growth of them in the 185 last week, added a butterfly and within one week no aiptasia remain visible. Simply amazing.

For me its a constant struggle. I am not over run with it but every few days spot a new one or two. I just kill them on site. I use Joe's Juice but results are sporadic. Sometimes they come back and require a second treatment, sometimes it gets them on the first time.
