Found RBTA tenticles on sand bed this morning

REEFRHEAD

well like the title says i went to look at my reef tank this am after the lights had turned on and i see about 30 small rbta tenticles on the floor as well as whats looks like anemone waste. Now i have a colony of rbtas like 7 strong so i immediately found all 7 they were fine but the smaller one was hiding in some rocks, now i was thinking is it possible one of the anemones got stressted and attempted a split but gave up half way through and the little piece that the now mother split off died? or do you think something is ripping my tenticles off the anemones? I have 3 big cleaner shrimp they are bothersome but never crazy unless the rbta is eating some food which they werent. i also have a pair of blood shirmp and a pair of peppermint shrimp, i dont hqve qny clowns as of yet so it was a clown biting the tips off like i have heard before, I have a med female flame wrasse 2 dispar anthias and a flame angel in the tank, now the only other bigger crabs i have are a couple emeralds and the electric blue hermits from hawaii one of them is pretty big but i dont think they would attack a healthy anemone and they havnt for over a yr now so why start now??? FYI i have woke up to find a few tenticles floating around before but not as many as i found this morning, now i havnt gotten to cleaning them all out yet, but i was wondering what would these tenticles do to my ammonia level if i left them in there? they are small maybe half inch long, and the tank is a 220 reef, hope thats enough information for you if not let me know what else you need to know?? thanks in advance.

I would suspect the shrimp, myself. I doubt your hypothesis about an aborted attempt at splitting. I don't think the tentacles will have any appreciable bearing on your ammonia levels.

nope no powerhead acition as all my anemones are on a island rock formation so they wont move around too much, and this island rock formation doesnt touch the glass or anything, so no go on the powerhead, i noticed the tenticles are still able to sting other corals that they have wandered into. so you think it was the shrimp and they ripped apart a portion of one of my anemones? the cleaners or the blood or the peppermints?

I had a rose anemone explode once, there were peices of it everywhere.... Never figured out what caused it. I had two green bta'a in there for years before and remained in there after this happened for a long time. Never figured out what happened.. But anyway what is weird is a couple of the tentacles that were laying in slower flow and laying on the bottom actually turned in too small bta's
