Found tank, need lights and filters

OK - So my co-worker is thrilled you guys were able to help her out and get her a 55 gallon tank and stand. Now we're looking for a glass hood, lights or a canopy type set up to fit a normal sized 4 ft tank. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, because it's going to be a freshwater angelfish tank, and price will definitely be a consideration.

She also needs filters. We're still undecided on undergravel, HOB or cannister types.
If you have any of the above for a reasonable price, please let me know by PM.

Thanks,
April

I run 2 emperor 400's on my 55 gallon angel tank. It is the only way to filter freshwater tanks in my opinion.

OK - It looks like we've found appropriate filtration.
We're still looking for a glass lid, lighting, or a canopy hood fixture.
Anyone??

I have a brand new 4 ft single bulb aquarium light fixture. It came with my 120, but since I need more high powered lighting for my reef, the normal output flourescent did not fit in the design. It has been sitting in my closet unused for the past 1.5 years. It is oak in color and does not come with a bulb. I'd take $20 for it. pm me if interested.

Thanks Kitty -
I don't know what color the aquarium "grain" is, but it may not even matter to them. I'll tell her about it when I get to work.

I have a 4ft PC setup that rests over the tank (does not have the mounting legs). It is a 220W setup but one of the ballasts is blown so it will only run 110W right now. The ballasts are on seperate power cords so it won't be a problem. It has the black aluminum casing with 2 internal fans and looks very nice. It is sitting in my storage unit right now and has app. 9-10 extra PC 55 W straight pin bulbs to go with it as well.

I bet it would look sweet over a freshwater cichlid tank. I would sell the setup and the bulbs for $120 total. If you just want the fixture without the extra bulbs, I would sell it for $50 (2 new bulbs included).

Thanks jgoelz, but I think we've got her all set up now. Thanks to everyone for the offers. I knew I could count on you all.
