WOA! Lighning speed! I missed it the first few times and had to wath it again.

It does look like a mantis, have fun trying to get him out!

Stick your finger in that hole and see if it will latch on. If it does then you can just pull it out that way :D J/K DONT DO THAT!!!

they sell traps for them, but ya, as mentioned above, a jar with a small hole in it, with some food will do the same thing.

I found it tonight! Do Mantis make click noises? I was looking in the tank using a flashlight and when the lightbeam hit "the thing" it made a couple of clicking noises (I think it was it maiking the noises).

Yea, they make a clicking noise every once in awhile. Pistol shrimp do it also and they can get really loud. Just don't get too close to it and if you get too close then your going to know it. :D

Cought the damn thing!!!

I took out the rock it was hiding in and fordec it out of it's hiding place!

It's in a bucket now - and I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or put it out of it's missery. It would be fun to see how big it can grow... I have a small tank, about 70-80 litres that I can set up - just need a skimmer for it...

The mantis is about 2 cm long and has a bit of a temper...

Is it nessecary to have a skimmer in a 60-80 litres tank if the ony "pet" in it is a mantis? Maybe a bit live rock. No corals, fish and inverts.

No, not in the sump - I woun't be able to get it out of there!

I'm going to keep it but in my old 60 litres aquarium. Gonna find it in the shed tomorrow, clean it and prepare some water.

This will be an interesting new project... a mantis-aquarium.

Go in the mantis forum here and post a thread. The mantis lovers will give you some great advice. If I were you I would keep him, they can be really interesting.
