Okay, have been frequenting this forum more lately and thought I would start posting to contribute, start discussions and of course get advice.
First up, is a Fox Coral I have had for 8 years or so..... one of the lobes has blown up like a balloon, getting bigger over the last few weeks. Started out really small a few months ago, but now getting to size of golf ball. There was a big rock full frilly rodanctis (sp.) mushrooms right above it, but I moved that to another tank about 3 weeks ago. Now I have some big trumpet coral colonies in it's place..... trumpets or it's feeder tentacles not touching Fox, though. There are a colony of green striped "watermelon" mushrooms at the bottom touching the Fox. Need to move 'em, I know!!
Anyway, just wondering if anybody else has seen the "ballooning" before in the Fox or any other LPS? I read years ago that low salinity may cause that symptom, but I think my SG at 1.023 should be good at my 80-82 degrees temp. Any ideas on what to do (besides popping) would be great.

Also my green Open Brain (trachyphilia, I believe) that I got 8 years ago with the Fox coral has had a weird raised up side for some time. It's partially shaded under a MONSTER lime green Frogspawn. Nothing touching it. Will moving out more in the open to get direct light make it happier? It is in the side of the tank that gets food fed to the fish, which I would guess it likes, or I could be wrong. If it's nothing to be concerned about it's okay to laugh at me.:lmao:
I'm going to post pics of the huge Frogspawn in a separate thread later.
Thanks for reading this!
