Will a Foxface pick on a clam?

I have a foxface and it never has touched my clam...

but there are no guarantee

the reef safe label put on fish is not 100%

I also have a foxface w/ several clams & so far so good.

How long have you had a your foxface's? Do you both have cleaner shrimp? I see they like clams too. Have you had any problems?

I just picked up a great gigas last night, he was sold because the persons foxface was picking on the gigas.

i had a foxface that started picking on mantles after several months in the tank (about 6 mo's).

Foxface is gone.

What probably happened with my foxface is that as it grew larger it felt hungry and just started picking on whatever it could find in the tank, as algae was scarce at the time, what else to go for but a nice teardrop (actually they probably taste rather nasty).

Just my experience.

By the way, I had a kole go after the clams after almost 2 years of best behavior. Probably for the same reason.

I have had my foxface for awhile, but I do keep him well fed. I also have peppermint shirimps & a cleaner shrimp w/no problems.
That has been my luck w/them. Now the Foxface started to tear up my Lords/Micros.
