Foxface blowing bubbles

My Foxface seems very heathy. He is fat and looks good. But I heard this chomping sound and I noticed that he bites the surface and spits bubbles. He swims to corners when he does this. Its seems like very strange behavior. I think he been doing it a while, I have heard the sound before.

My water parms are all in line and I have had him 6+ months. He is a lot bigger than when I got him.

Has anyone else seen this behavior ? I get the feeling he is just playing/bored.

Hello mate.

I have a magnificent foxface that does exactly the same thing...
I have a lot of surface movement and see him playing up there all the time... Well I think he's playing... He's happy and healthy so I think he's alright.

Both of my foxfaces do the exact same thing. It's almost like they are trying to tell me they are hungry.

My skunk clowns do this. I was wondering from another post if they are eating the film on the surface of the water.

Glad to here others have seen this. I will just continue to laugh at him :-)

My tank has a good bit of surface agitation. I think he/they are just goofing around. :fish2:

Mine does this all the time also, in my case he is eating the algae that grows on the under side of my brace bars.

A long time ago a pet shop in Chicago had a fox face that when you walked past spit water at you. The coolest thing I have ever seen, and the reason I won't get one. All I need is a fish shorting out a few thousand in LED lights!
