Foxface question

I bought a 4 inch fox face from my local pet shop . Not a chain one mom and pops place. They told me that they got it 2 weeks before I bought him. They said they knew the owner really well he had him for a year but now he is worried about the venomous spikes so that's why he brought him in to the pet store... I have had him for 5 days. He eats like a pig,no sign of any diseases. The last 2 days I feel like his color is more pale. He is in a 20 g QT tank that had copper in it before but since I did like 3 water changes with noe adding copper. Should I continue or can I dump him in DT.

Fox faces will change colors when water chemistry is messed up or when they're stressed. I would chrck water params and copper dosage. Usually, you want to QT fish for 2-4 weeks. Not sure if 5 days is enough

5 days is not long enough for QT. You don't know if the tank he came from was disease free, and you need to observe for a minimum of 4 weeks to make sure he is healthy. The fact that he is eating a lot is a great sign. Make sure you give him plenty of greens (nori), as they have very inefficient digestive systems.
